Your body is a dynamic process, constantly adapting to the demands imposed on it.

It’s a highly responsive and hybrid system made of biological soft matter that changes as it interacts with the environment.

Depending on the forces applied to it and the speed at which it is moving, it can transition between different structural arrangements and intrinsic properties called “phases”, almost instantaneously.

TENSILE PHASE

Modulate and generate force via synergic contractions of muscles that both can create and control tension to handle or overcome resistance.

Think of doing a pull-up, a push up or a squat.

 

ELASTIC PHASE

Lengthen a body part while countering or redirecting forces to store and give back elastic energy.

This is key to producing efficient and powerful motions.

Think of doing a jump, a stot or a kip.

STIFF PHASE
